Ashley's War: The Untold Story of a Team of Women Soldiers on the Special Ops Battlefield
by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon
I read this book while assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment. For that reason and the fact that my oldest daughter was in an Army ROTC program at the time this book resonated with me on many levels.
A much talked about, but little understood piece of our recent military history and one that all leaders will be able to learn from when discussing war and its effects on people, particularly how hard it is to break into the often all-male fraternity of close combat and its aftermath.
